The number of electric vehicles in circulation is increasing exponentially and some brands are making the energy transition as smoothly as possible. BMW is one of the manufacturers that can claim to be successful in the segment. After taking three years to sell 100,000 units, the company is now celebrating the fact that it took exactly the same time to reach half a million cars.
Nissan has recently said it has reached the mark of the 400,000 units sold of the Leaf electric model. Tesla, in turn, sold about 97,000 cars in the third quarter of 2019 alone.
BMW claims the million vehicles is its next brand. The company believes it can achieve the goal within two years. The German giant wants to have a diversified offer in the segment, having already promised a portfolio of 25 electric models available by 2023.
