The rules are simple: develop a 48 hour game on a theme that is only revealed on the first day of the event. This is the usual proposal for another edition of Global Game Jam, which starts on January 31 and ends on February 2. The event takes place at TagusPark in Oeiras.
Global Game Jam is organized by the Instituto Superior Técnico's Game Lab in collaboration with the Faculty of Fine Arts and offers participants the opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team with various skills such as visual arts (2D and 3D), programming (2D and 3D) and audio.
Ideal for lovers of video games, the event is aimed primarily at people interested in developing games of age. However, in a statement, the organization admits that it wants to expand the meeting to all interested parties who want to challenge or enjoy a weekend of conviviality.
Those interested in participating should submit the registration through the official website of the event.
