Following the arrival of Sword and Shield Pokémon Switch in early December, it is Facebook Gaming's turn to be updated with two titles from this universe: Pokémon Tower Battle and Pokémon Medallion Battle, developed by Bombay Play and GCTurbo, respectively.
In Pokémon Tower Battle, available globally, the goal is to stack pokémons and create the tallest towers with the friendly creatures. And as usual, you should look for and pick up rare Pokémon, using them to meet friends in real time, recording the results in a global high score table. The game mixes skill in the ability to solve the creatures' physical plug-in puzzle, with strategy, in the choices of what the next Pokémon to stack.
Now available to players in the Asia-Pacific region, Pokémon Medallion Battle is a collectible card strategy game. The goal is to find cards to use in battle, improving the Pokémon that are presented in medallion form. As usual, players rack up gym medals while facing coaches and complete their Pokédex collection. The producer promises to introduce new letters monthly.
The launch of these two new Pokémon titles on Facebook is part of Pokémon Company's strategy to expand its digital catalog outside of Nintendo's usual consoles. Although Pokémon GO is the most successful, there are already other proposals for smartphones, such as Pokémon Masters and Pokémon Rumble Rush.
