The most recent stern pinball machine is catching the eye not only of flipper fans, but also of Stranger Things enthusiasts. The US company that specializes in themed pinball machines was inspired by the 80's nostalgia for the popular series, introducing some more modern changes to the equipment.
The machine developed by Stern Pinball is available in three versions, each with different gameplay features and mechanics. In addition to the ramps, obstacles and rotating elements present in the most basic model known as the “Pro”, the “Premium” and “Limited Edition” equipment come with the promise of greater interactivity.
The most well-equipped models, for example, have a kind of miniature drive-in cinema in the middle of the equipment that allows you to view various animations and videos inspired by the series. If you thought boss battles only existed in the virtual world, machines will prove otherwise. Behind a central ramp you can find, nothing more, nothing less than a Demogorgon.
Inspired by Eleven, the machines feature strategically placed magnets to recreate the young protagonist's powers, holding the pinball balls momentarily "in the air", challenging players. Highlighting the machines is their design. All three models feature hand-drawn illustrations of Stranger Things characters and iconic moments. Demogorgon himself, hidden in the center of the equipment, was also carved by hand.
While it may be the consumer's dream of any staunch fan of the series, all the innovation in the machines is reflected in its price. The base model of the machine developed by Stern Pinball is priced at $ 6,099, with the "Premium" and "Limited Edition" versions listed at $ 7,699 and $ 9,099, respectively.
