O Internet Society Portuguese Chapter it's the MiudosSegurosNa.Net project have teamed up to launch the "ePrivacy for Kids" initiative. The recently approved project by the Internet Society aims to set up and develop an online trust and safety awareness campaign for children, adolescents and young adults.
According to Tito de Morais, founder of the MiudosSegurosNa.Net Project, quoted in a press release, the initiative fits in with the work that has been developed over 16 years "allowing to deepen an increasingly critical and essential theme" .
The project "ePrivacy Exchanged By Kids" will be composed of four key moments, including "the promotion of debate and training around the issue of trust, the production of support materials and actions to support user training, particularly the younger ones, and the launch of a contest ", says José Legatheaux Martins, Chairman of the Portuguese Chapter of the Internet Society.
The initiative has a duration of two years, being officially launched on January 28, 2020, Data Protection Day, at the Portuguese Communications Foundation, in Lisbon.
