Valve's virtual reality suite is virtually sold out worldwide. The Index, recently launched by the company, is the platform where you can play the new Half-Life: Alyx.
Valve has already ensured that it is working to meet demand. According to IGN, the complete kit is sold out in over 31 countries.
The set is priced at 799 euros, and interested parties can request to be notified by Steam once the equipment is again available. However, as highlighted by IGN, Valve does not guarantee that it will be possible to make more units available until Half-Life comes onto the market.
Note that although the technology advises Index to play the new title in the Half-Life saga, the game is compatible with other virtual reality equipment.
Half-Life: Alyx hits the market in March. Valve has not yet revealed the exact day, but it is obvious that the popularity of the saga, which benefits from having a large fan base, has boosted sales of this RV kit. The last Half-Life was released in 2004 and although players have longed for a sequel, the studio has never felt like it. Alyx's plot is set between the first and second game and will not follow Gordon Freeman, the protagonist of the games that popularized the saga.
