Twenty six different prototypes were under consideration to create the new Motorola RAZR, which involved an engineering and design team focused on bringing innovation and overcoming some of the technological challenges folding smartphones have to face, notably the durability of the screen.
The new smartphone, which was introduced in November, has a folding screen that "snaps" when folded showing a smaller screen. The open screen is 6.2 inches and the smartphone features a dual 16 MP front and rear camera and 5 MP for the interior.
A video now released shows the behind-the-scenes work needed for the development, and stars in the teams involved in the project.
A versatile design
When docked and smaller, the smartphone can be used in different ways. On the smaller 2.7-inch outdoor screen you can see the time or battery and receive notifications. Although you cannot type messages on this screen, you can always respond through audios that will be turned into text or evaluate their appearance in selfies.
