Riot Games, which this year celebrated the 10th anniversary of League of Legends, has promised several titles based on the most famous MOBA universe. During the Game Awards showed two of them: Ruined King and CONV / RGENCE, both linked to the narrative A League of Legends Story.
Ruined King is a turn-based role-playing game developed by Airship Syndicate, Joe Madureira's studio, responsible for Darksiders Genesis, and will focus on the history of the LoL universe. The game is set after the events of the Burning tideswhere players will be able to control LoL champions and explore for the first time the city of Bilgewater and the mysterious Shadow Isles.
CONV / RGENCE is a platform game under development by Double Stallion Games. The player takes on Champion Ekko for the world of Zaun. The young inventor has a device for manipulating time. These are the first two League of Legends-based titles, managed by Riot Forge, the company's new branch dedicated to the distribution of universe-based titles produced by outside studios.
Revealed for PC, and considered the first ad for PlayStation 5, Godfall is a looter-slasher produced by Counterplay Games for Gearbox Studios catalog. It's a fantasy-based third-person action game that will hit the market by Christmas 2020, just in time for the release of Sony's upcoming console.
The game promises intense and impactful sword fighting. Players will have to search their enemies for treasure and spoils for legendary armor sets to prepare for powerful bosses. The studio states that it will be possible to play solo, or accompanied by two other friends.
