Warner Bros. Film Studio will use Cinelytic's artificial intelligence platform that analyzes the content and talent of actors. The tool can help with decisions during movie production and movie theater release strategies.
According to Business wire, the technology combines AI and other cloud-based technologies to add information about the value of content. It uses predictive analytics models, data and project management tools integrated into an online platform.
Using the Cinelytic platform, studios can reduce the time executives spend on repetitive, low-value tasks to focus on adding value to the project, creating creative promotion, marketing, and distribution ideas, as well as creating the conditions so the movie gets the long-awaited “green light” to advance.
As explained on Cinelytic's website, the platform database contains over 95,000 films with performance analysis and their metadata. It also has profile analyzes for over 550,000 actors. And it guarantees an assertive box office forecast of 85%.
This is not the first time AI has been used in the movie industry. 20th Century Fox, for example, tested a system for analyzing movie trailers to measure their success months before they hit the theaters. To train the system, the machine has been "fed" with hundreds of trailers over the years, crisscrossed with millions of movie ratings.
