With one more year to go, Twitter released this week's 2019 platform trends. Remember the famous egg that wanted to break a record? He was the one who managed to win in the category of the most retweeted tweets, about 957,000, in a report with a new list: the 19 tweets that became the most memorable moments of the year.
In the Most Retweeted Tweets Worldwide category these were the winners. The platform explained that the methodology excludes all tweets that offer payment in exchange for followers or retweets, so Yusaku Maezawa was left out.
As for the retweets with the most comments these were the posts that stood out.
Twitter also released the most discussed categories on the platform throughout 2019 and the most used emojis were also shared.
As for news for 2020, the platform has already ensured that it will facilitate conversations between users, taking inspiration from Reddit. Another social networking intention for next year was to eliminate accounts that had not been accessed for more than six months, but Twitter changed its mind, at least until it did not have a "memorial" functionality similar to Facebook.
This month also Youtube and Google already shared the most popular subjects in Portugal and the world on their platforms in 2019. Yesterday was the time for Facebook to announce the most popular subjects in the country on the social network.
